Lupacova Tain link

Published by under Uncategorized

This blog is to enable the exchange of ideas between Tain Royal Academy and students in Lupacova in Prague.  Students in each school will be able to post comments and respond to the comments of others.  We hope this will provide opportunities for our young people to learn more about each other and to develop their ideas in collaboration with fellow students in Tain and in Prague.

    For Matthew Moistner:
Matthew, Andy Wright has set this blog up. We thought staff and pupils might be able to use it – in the first instance after our summer holidays when we start to think of your visit here.
We return to school on the 17th August, with pupils returning on the 18th. We might be able to set up some communication about your visit.

Hello, we are back to school now and I am taking names from the students who would be interested in blogging. There will be perhaps two students from our year VII, VIII and IX. I’m hoping to get the students writing next week to introduce themselves and connect with the students there at TRA. We’ll just start with introductions in the beginning so please organise some students there to do the same. We’ll comment on life in Prague and in the Czech Republic. Hobbies and interests that the students have as well as any other information that they feel might be of interest. Look forward to a productive year of blogging and I’ll keep on top of it making sure the students stay involved.

i believe that this blog is about The Ict Avalible in both the schools and as an Ict Prefect at Tain I Have been asked to write about Ict in Tain and the role of an Ict Prefect. There are a lot of jobs involved from selecting the computer wallpapers for each year group to moving computers around the school.

I am an ICT prefect and also a studant at Tain Royal Accademy. The jobs I have to do as an ICT prefect are moving computers around the school, taking apart computers so the parts can be recycled, picking the wallpapers, setting up computers for use, puting new programing on them and some maintenance of school computers.

Hello, I am an English teacher here at Lupacovka in Prague, Czech Republic. We have three or four students organised who will update the blog on a regular basis and we will begin within the next couple of days. They will introduce themselves and then see where it goes from there. This week we are going to visit a place called Lidice. It has quite a sad history dating back to World War 2. The children will report on this trip as well as some others as we have quite a few outings organised throughout the Autumn/Winter months.

Hello, we are back to school again after our day out at Lidice. It was a great day and very valuable from the educational aspect. There were 19 children total, two of them on this blog, Andie and Dasha. We visited Lidice, went to the museum where we saw a video on the subject as well as many items on display within the museum. After this we walked around the site where the village once stood. We were lucky that it was a beautiful day here with regards to the weather. Our next trip will be on the 19th Nov when we go to Terezin, a German concentration camp from the second world war. You can see some photos of our trip at:
    http://www.lupacovka.cz/a1299_smartpet-trip-to-lidice.html

You can also see the website of the place we visited at: http://www.lidice-memorial.cz/history_en.aspx

There will be a few more students writing that were on our trip and are involved in the Smartpet program so hopefully they will submit messages soon.
